Zambia will receive a 75 million euro ($103 million) loan from the European Investment Bank to rehabilitate and expand Mulonga Water and Sewerage Co.’s water and waste-water services.
The French Development Agency is providing a further loan of 50 million euros for the company, which operates in the country’s Copperbelt Province, according to a statement posted on the EIB’s website.
Most water infrastructure in the area is more than 50 years old, the lender said.
